My research focuses on developing tools and methods for designing suitable flexible structures for industrial applications, by considering the benefits and constraints that Additive Manufacturing as a technology offers, says Satabdee.

Satabdee has taken the courses Innovation and Value Creation in Research, Sustainability in Engineering Product Development, Engineering Design Research Methodology and Get Your Paper Published within the Produktion2030 Graduate School.

The courses were well designed to suit the educational needs of diverse group of Swedish universities. They gave me rich insights into the responsible education areas, familiarized me with different forms of assignments and coursework and enabled active participation throughout each session for each of the courses.

She likes that the courses offered by the Production2030 Graduate School comprises of students from different Swedish universities. That has helped her understand what other PhDs are researching in their fields and universities. It has also helped networking with other PhDs and professors from other universities as well as the opportunity to learn different teaching styles.

Satabdee’s advice to PhD students thinking about joining the Produktion2030 Graduate School is to try to plan and register in advance for the courses since there tend to be a limited number of admissions possible.

If you like visiting other universities for in-person course sessions, then pick the courses that offer such facilities, she says.

She also lifts the opportunity to build network with peers and professors through the graduate school.
