Our vision is that by 2030, Sweden will be one of the world’s leading countries in sustainable manufacturing. Sweden will also be the first choice for the development and production of advanced goods and services. To realise the vision, we need to transform new know-how from research and development into commercial innovations. We also need to increase and strengthen cooperation between different industries and sectors. Produktion2030 aims to be a meeting place and a platform for players in the production arena.

Produktion2030 is a strategic innovation programme supported by Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and Formas. The goal is to ensure that Sweden remains a competitive manufacturing nation. We do this by translating industry challenges into relevant and innovative solutions for manufacturing; by building up and strengthening networks and collaborations, both within Sweden and internationally; and by bringing together ideas, players and funding opportunities in order to create valuable solutions for the manufacturing industry of the future.

We are spearheading the development of innovative and efficient production in Sweden.

Sweden has more global manufacturing companies per capita than any other country in the world

The manufacturing industry is a pillar of the Swedish economy and a foundation for our employment. Many Swedish companies were quick to exploit the potential of digitalisation. So far, we have maintained our competitiveness in an increasingly tough global market. Now we need to gather our various resources in the production field in order to take the industry forward in Sweden. We are doing this to ensure future welfare and jobs, but also to make sure that Sweden does well internationally as a manufacturing nation for advanced products and services.

Over 250 companies, research agencies and organisations endorse the vision and participate in Produktion2030.
