Demonstrating and testing smart digitalisation for sustainable human-centred automation in production

With three demonstrators in its laboratory environment, Stena Industry Innovation Lab (SIILab) will evaluate and test digital solutions for sharing information, presenting instructions and improving individual resource planning.

These implementations will enable a more efficient and flexible information and production system by reducing cycle times, cutting the time from idea to implementation of digital solutions and integrating different hardware and software solutions. The results will be disseminated to other industries, universities and institutes both IRL and digitally, which will lead to greater acceptance and hopefully wider use of digital solutions in Swedish manufacturing. This will attract the younger generation and reduce demographic problems.
